Sing, Create and Find Calm with Syd - 20th March 2026
We warmly invite Home Educating families and families whose child is currently refusing school to join us for a nurturing, creative three-hour session for children aged 5–10.
Led by Jacqui Cameron, wellbeing therapist & mindfulness teacher, and Victoria McCrea, music therapist — with our very special helper… Syd the therapy dog
Our previous sessions have been such a joy. Beautiful friendships have formed, confidence has grown, and the atmosphere has been calm, creative and full of smiles. We can’t wait to welcome you again.
During the session, children will:
Spend gentle time with Syd, learning about therapy dogs and enjoying his calm, comforting presence
Play fun, engaging mindfulness games designed to build focus, confidence, emotional regulation and connection
Enjoy relaxing colouring time
Make their own musical instrument
Collaborate to create a group song together
Receive a recording of their song to take home
Take home their musical instrument, their creative pieces, and a mindfulness resource pack so they can continue the games and activities at home
And there may even be a little fairy surprise at the end
This is a relaxed, nurturing workshop, ideal for creative, sensitive or animal-loving children, and especially supportive for those who may feel shy. There is no pressure, just gentle encouragement, connection and fun.
Limited to just 10 children to keep the group safe, calm and supportive
Parents are very welcome to stay and enjoy tea or coffee
Parking available
Every child leaves with something tangible, their instrument, their song, creative artwork, and mindfulness tools to continue at home, but more importantly, they leave with connection, confidence and often a new friendship
