The Great Rescue of Lumi – A Magical Breathing Teacher Resource
The Great Rescue of Lumi – A Magical Breathing Teacher Resource
A gentle, imaginative way to help children calm their bodies and feel safe.
The Great Rescue of Lumi is a ready-to-use teacher resource designed to support children aged 4–7 with calming their nervous system through story, breath, and imagination.
Through a magical adventure, children are invited to help Lumi the Light Sprite escape the Stormy Cave of Wobbly Feelings by using slow, gentle breathing. As part of the story, children naturally practise breathing out for longer than they breathe in – a simple and effective way to help the body settle, slow down, and feel safe.
This resource is especially helpful for children who experience worry, nervousness, fear, overwhelm, or big emotions, and can be used proactively or in the moment.
