16th September Home-Educated Children with Stay Calm & the Skreppa Herd

Sessions with the Skreppa Herd
A Magical Experience for Home Educated Children to Connect with Horses, Children, Nature, and Themselves

We’re excited to invite children to join our 3-hour sessions with the Skreppa herd — a group of seven kind, gentle horses who love connecting with young people.

These sessions are all about slowing down, being in nature, having fun and learning how to care for and communicate with horses in a calm, supportive environment.

What Happens During the Sessions?
Children will:

  • Groom and lead the horses

  • Create special enrichments for the herd

  • Learn calming techniques they can use with the horses — and in everyday life

  • Discover how horses feel emotions and how they respond to ours

  • Spend quiet time outdoors, building confidence, focus, and a sense of peace

  • Get creative

Why Horses?
Horses are amazing at understanding feelings — they sense when we’re calm, excited, worried, or happy. Being with them helps children:

  • Learn how to feel calm and grounded

  • Understand how emotions work

  • Build self-confidence and empathy

  • Enjoy meaningful connection — with animals, others, and themselves

Simple Calming Tools
Each session includes fun and gentle techniques like deep breathing, mindfulness, and grounding. These tools help the horses feel safe and relaxed — and help children feel the same way, both in the session and in their everyday lives.

Whether your child is shy, sensitive, anxious, or simply loves animals and being outdoors, these sessions offer a beautiful space to grow, explore emotions, and make new friends — all with the magic of the Skreppa herd.
