Supporting Teenagers with Anxiety, Stress and Emotional Challenges

Many teenagers today struggle with anxiety, stress, low confidence, emotional overwhelm, or difficulties with school. Some may be avoiding school, struggling with attendance, or feeling isolated through home education.

I provide one-to-one support for teenagers, helping them understand what is happening in their mind and body and giving them practical tools to feel calmer, more confident, and more in control of their emotions.

As a wellbeing practitioner, mindfulness teacher, and life coach, I use a combination of mindfulness, nervous system education, guided imagery, and practical wellbeing techniques to help teenagers manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and build resilience.

Each session provides a safe and supportive space where teenagers can talk openly, feel heard, and learn strategies they can use in everyday life.

Through our work together, teenagers learn how to:

✔ Manage anxiety and stress
✔ Calm their nervous system and regulate emotions
✔ Build confidence and self-belief
✔ Develop resilience to handle life’s challenges
✔ Feel more in control of their thoughts and feelings

If your teenager is struggling with anxiety, stress, school pressure, or emotional overwhelm, I would be happy to support them in finding greater calm, confidence, and balance.

The Calm & Confidence Program for Teenagers

A 5-Week 1:1 Program to Help Teens Reduce Anxiety, Feel Safer, and Regain Confidence

Many teenagers today feel completely overwhelmed.
Some struggle to get out of bed in the morning, feel anxious about going to school, or say they simply don’t feel safe or comfortable in the school environment.

Others experience constant stress, racing thoughts, emotional shutdown, or exhaustion, leaving them feeling stuck and unsure how to cope.

This five-week one-to-one online program is designed to help teenagers understand what is happening in their mind and body and give them practical tools to calm their nervous system, manage anxiety, and rebuild confidence step by step.

When teenagers understand why they feel the way they do, and learn how to regulate their nervous system, things can begin to change.

How This Program Helps Teenagers

Throughout the five weeks, your teenager will learn simple, practical techniques that help them feel calmer, more in control, and better able to cope with daily challenges.

Understanding Anxiety and Overwhelm

Many teenagers believe something is wrong with them when they feel anxious or unable to face school. In this program they learn how the stress response works in the brain and body, helping them understand that their reactions are a natural response to feeling unsafe or overwhelmed.

Calming the Nervous System

Teenagers are taught simple breathing, mindfulness, and grounding techniques that help calm the body and reduce the intensity of anxiety and racing thoughts.

The Vagus Nerve and Emotional Regulation

Your teen will learn about the vagus nerve — the body’s natural calming system — and how to activate it, helping them move from panic or shutdown into a calmer, more balanced state.

Managing Big Emotions and Stressful Situations

Through practical exercises and guided support, teenagers begin to understand their emotions, manage overwhelming feelings, and respond to challenges with greater confidence.

By the End of the Program, Many Teenagers Begin To

✔ Feel calmer and less overwhelmed by anxiety
✔ Understand why their body reacts the way it does under stress
✔ Have practical tools to manage anxious thoughts and emotions
✔ Build confidence and a stronger sense of self
✔ Feel more able to cope with school, friendships, and everyday challenges

Most importantly, they begin to realise that they are not broken — they simply needed the right support and tools.

Sessions are 45 minutes long and take place online via Zoom.

In the past, I had always tried to encourage counselling when my daughter felt down but her experience with CAMHS was so poor that she was reluctant. I tried to find independent support but was never really satisfied and my daughter was unreceptive. After a recommendation from my neighbour, we decided to try again and immediately my daughter felt a warmth and trust from Jacqui. She looked forward to her weekly sessions and afterwards would say to me that she felt Jacqui talked to her as an equal and never talked down to her. That was important as she had felt patronised by previous sessions with CAMHS.
I saw such a difference in her attitude and confidence after her sessions with Jacqui and will not hesitate to contact her in the future if needs be.
Jacqui, thank you so much for your wonderful work with her
