Mindfulness Package for schools



The Mindful Program is suitable for KS1 & KS2

The effectiveness of our techniques is supported by studies linking mindfulness practices to improved focus, relaxation, overall well-being, and enhanced memory retention. These validated methods encompass a range of approaches including controlled breathing exercises, guided visualization, uplifting affirmations, and relaxation techniques. Our program is designed to seamlessly integrate into various aspects of the school day, serving as a valuable component of intervention programs or as a refreshing start to the morning during PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education), Circle Time, or Literacy hour. Additionally, it offers a beneficial way for both teachers and students to conclude their day with a mindful moment, promoting a sense of calm and reflection before transitioning to other activities or heading home.

The package includes:

· Nine detailed Illustrations for mindfulness reinforcement.

· Six guided visualizations.

· Descriptions of the visualizations along with their areas of benefit.

· Scripts and Tips for teachers for better lesson planning.

· Selected soothing music to create the right environment

The Mindful Garden

Mindfulness offers children the invaluable skill of being fully present in the moment, fostering a heightened awareness of their thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and immediate surroundings. While this state of mindful presence comes naturally to them at a young age, it's a capacity that often diminishes as they mature. However, cultivating mindfulness has demonstrated numerous benefits, particularly in enhancing concentration and self-awareness. By nurturing a child's ability to stay grounded in the present, mindfulness can significantly improve their attention span and social-emotional awareness. Moreover, it serves as a powerful tool for managing anxiety and promoting overall emotional well-being, leaving children with a profound sense of calm and centeredness.“The Mindful Garden” consists of 9 beautifully illustrated pages and on each page there are a selection of choices. The children choose one thing from the illustrated page and their selected choice becomes the focus of their attention during the mindfulness session.

Included with the program is a carefully crafted script for each illustrated page, empowering teachers to seamlessly guide children through the mindfulness session. Additionally, it provides thought-provoking questions to facilitate discussion and gather valuable feedback from the children about their experience at the conclusion of the session.Guided Visualisations

There are 6-guided visualizations to complement the Mindful Garden Package.

The 6-guided visualizations have been designed to help schools introduce:

1. Happiness and wellbeing into the classroom.

2. Emotional Nurturing of children’s emotional resilience.

3. A tool for teachers to either calm, enable or focus pupils in the classroom.

4. Different visuals for different situations, so a teacher can include them in their lesson plans

(beginning, mid or end of class day).
